Speaking at a meetup or a conference about Hasura? We can help!
TL;DR Giving a talk that involves Hasura? We'll help you prep, practise and even send you swag to give away! How to at the end of this post.
Over the last few weeks, a lot of our users have been giving talks about Hasura at meetups and conferences around the world. Some of them had reached out to us for assistance on our Discord, and we thought it would be a good idea to compile all the ways we can help in one place.
Side note: Our Discord server was the highlight of 2018 for us! It has been incredible to watch the Hasura community help each other with all things GraphQL and serverless, showcase the products they have built, and generally be awesome. Check it out!
Here are all the ways in which we can help with your talk (if you would like us to):
Proposal/Abstract
Email us (details below) your abstract or proposal, and we can give you pointers and tips. Our engineers have spoken at a lot of meetups and conferences around the world, and have a good handle on what works.
Need some inspiration for your talk proposal? This repo with talk proposals might help.
Resources to help you prepare
Once your talk has been accepted, we have lots of slide decks, speaker notes and videos from previous talks that we can share with you to help you prepare.
We can also schedule calls with Tanmai or Tiru if you would like to practise. Both of them are very experienced speakers, and spoke at dozens of conferences and meetups in just the last year.
Swag
We can ship you some T shirts and stickers that you can distribute after the talk. This will take us 2-3 weeks, so we would appreciate it if you let us know well in advance of your talk.
Spreading the word
Pre talk, we can help spread the word via social media and on our newsletter, and post talk, we can feature the talk on our website, social media and blog.
How you can reach out
If you would like us to help in any of the ways mentioned above (or in some other way that we have not mentioned), you can either send an email with details to [email protected], or ping Harsha (username: #ChocolateBear#0834) on our Discord.
